The initial round of submissions on proposed Changes 18 and 20 to the District Plan closed on 26 September 2008. Council is now calling for further submissions.
Change 18 creates a new “Rural Residential” zone and applies it to twelve specific areas, replacing the current “Rural” zoning. The Rural zone subdivision objectives, policies and rules would also be amended.
Plan Change 20 replaces the Plan’s current list of heritage buildings with a “Heritage Inventory” which sets the land use consent requirements for alterations to each of 36 historic structures.
